• Make sure the caterer is licensed or you may be liable if something happens. Cottage Café is fully insured and licensed.
• If outdoors, make sure they have refrigeration. Yes All Cold Foods will stay cold and Hot foods hot, we promise.
• Find out how they dress. We will dress in attire that will fit in with your gathering.
• What is the estimated cost per person for a seated dinner? Buffet? Cocktail reception? Open bar? What does the cost include? Please call 231-947-9261 so we can tailor your needs with cost.
• Do you have a set menu? Can the menu be modified? We can provide you with the favorites, but this is your function not ours so menu is organized to you.
• Can the kitchen staff adhere to special dietary restrictions for some guests who may be diabetic, kosher, and vegetarian? YES WE CAN DO THAT.
• Do you have liability coverage - including liquor liability? Yes WE DO.
• Can you supply me with a list of references? (Contact two.) Yes we love to show off our previous caterings.
• How much advance time is needed to confirm a reservation? We work on first come first serve basis, and yes we book up fast.
• Can I arrange to view the catering of another wedding reception to check food display, service style, flow, organization? Can we arrange to taste foods on the menu you suggest? We would love to show you everything, no secrets with us.
• Do you set the tables? Provide linens? Order floral arrangements? Coordinate the music? All you need to do is just ask us and we will organize everything.
• What is the guarantee requirement for number of guests? We work of 10% rule.
• When must I provide a final guest count? No later than 24 hours would be helpful
• Can you send me a confirmation letter including the catering date and time, names of service help, tipping policy, decorating time, color schemes, menu, cost per person? Yes we will.
